Celebrating Women in Business

Now More than Ever….

Celebrating Women in Business is a women’s conference whose purpose is to provide a forum to stimulate economic growth through training and inspiration of current and prospective entrepreneurs-both those who are self-employed and those who work for others.
This conference will be hosted by SCORE,  a non-profit organization dedicated to advising and promoting small business.  We function under the 501(C)3 and direction of SCORE. Sponsor contributions are tax deductible!

Celebrating Women in Business will be an all-day event planned for March 15, 2012. It will include a nationally acclaimed keynote speaker, six topical breakout training sessions, a 60 booth trade show, a breakfast, a networking luncheon, a grand prize and door prizes. Attendees will receive valuable training to use in their workplace, awareness of community resources and an outstanding opportunity to network for success by bringing together successful entrepreneurs from a myriad of business environments.

We plan to attract 350 attendees from Broome, Tioga, Tompkins, Cortland, Chenango, Delaware, Otsego, Chemung and Onondaga Counties as well as communities in northern Pennsylvania.

Some History…

This conference was run successfully from 2004 through 2007.  In the years after women kept asking us if it would happen again.  So the organizers made a decision to bring it back because it is needed now more than ever.  Unemployment is at an all-time high. A record number of people are seeking to start  their own businesses.
We hope to bring hope, inspiration, guidance and education to business men and women who are on this path.

This event will be the Southern Tier’s premier business event this year, but we cannot afford to proceed alone! Therefore, we invite you to become our partner in an event that will benefit the women who attend and the companies they work for or own, and they in turn, will contribute to economic growth in our region.
